Creature Garden is a little experiment in free to play game mechanics on iOS and Android. The concept revolves around unlocking and growing flowers, bushes and trees. Each plant gives you different types of berries which can be spent to unlock more plants. The project was more of a personal learning experience in retention and free to play game design/virtual economies.

The core retention loop:

• unlock
• plant
• grow / wait
• harvest
• unlock…

The core loop was largely completed and the graphics are reasonably polished given the short development time but to take it forward or to a release version would have required developing many additional systems and dedicating a lot of time to it.
